After a big fire in the termal power plant (TPP) Plomin which occured on May 29th 2017, information emerged that, due to the damage caused by the fire, it is questionable whether TPP Plomin 1 will ever be operational again. Green Action demands that any attempt to restart the work of Plomin 1 is abandoned, that all information on pollution as a result of the fire is disclosed, and that the citizens get reparations for any damages they have suffered.

The first Croatian RE-USE center has opened in Prelog yesterday. Discarded objects will revive in the center rather than end up in the landfill. This way Prelog and the surrounding region complement the chain of a complete system that has been successfully developed over the last few years according to the recommendations of the Zelena akcija / Zero Waste Croatia. Additionally, the new two municipalities (Belica and Dekanovec) signed a 'Zero Waste' strategy, adopting ambitious targets for separation, recycling and composting and rejecting harmful waste incineration.

It's that time again! Zelena akcija's Activist Group invites you to attend the fourth annual E?! – Environmental Film Festival happening between March 21st and March 23rd at Kino Tuškanac.
ANNOUNCEMENT -The city of Zagreb is throwing away about 155 million kuna (about 21 million euros) on the Jakuševac landfill every year. Zagreb could turn that money to profit if only the City provided separate collection of different types of waste deposited there and then selling it on the secondary raw materials market.
