ANNOUNCEMENT -The city of Zagreb is throwing away about 155 million kuna (about 21 million euros) on the Jakuševac landfill every year. Zagreb could turn that money to profit if only the City provided separate collection of different types of waste deposited there and then selling it on the secondary raw materials market.

PRESS RELEASE -Zelena akcija/Friends of the Earth Croatia organised a regional event 'Balkan Youth Climate Movement' camp from July 25th until July 31st 2016 in the Solar Academy on the Island of Šolta, near Split, in Croatia. The purpose of the week-long camp for over 40 young people from Western Balkans and Turkey was to educate and build the capacity of young leaders in the region to be able to understand the results of COP21 and to advocate for climate justice.

NEWS -After five years of campaigning against the construction of the harmful coal power plant 'Plomin C', we achieved a big victory! The Minister of Economy, Tomislav Panenić, has stated that the realisation of this project has been canceled. We are sure that after convincing arguments against the construction and the circumstances that occurred, the Government had no other choice but to stop 'Plomin C'.
