The project is done in cooperation with the OSCE, UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) and REC (The Regional Environmental Center) COs. On his lecture he will use video material of Greenpeace campaigns and stories on Genetic Manipulated Organisms, nuclear energy, and the fight against scrupelous chemical industries.

PRESS RELEASE -The Pan-European Biological and Landscape Diversity Strategy was endorsed at the third Pan-European Conferences of Ministers of the Environment "Environment for Europe" held in Sofia in October 1995, it concerns more than 50 countries of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The PEBLDS is a European response to support the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
NEWS -The Convention was opened for signature at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro in June 1992. It entered into force on 29 December 1993 and currently has 188 Parties.
NEWS -One important element of the implementation of the Pan-European Biological and Landscapes Diversity Strategy is the establishment of the Pan-European Ecological Network. The participating states have agreed that the network should be established by 2005.
