 "Green Action has celebrated Planet Earth Day by organizing a diversity of happenings since 1995. Every year we choose an urgent topic, and this year Planet Earth Day has been organized with the initiative right for the city. ‘Urban development of the city of Zagreb’ is this year's topic and is closely related with the campaign we are managing against the devastation of Cvjetni Square and downtown. Furthermore, it is related to the fact that the City council has announced a change from the town’s general spatial planning. These changes would allow similar devastating projects of all downtown blocks, the building of new public underground garages in the center, more intensive car traffic in the City's center and further slowing down of public transport.
