PRIOPĆENJE -Green Action activists, in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, held a press conference and performance, today at 11 a.m, in front of the Croatian Government on St. Marko’s Square, demanding the Government finally publicize the results of the final revision of the EIA for HEPP Ombla and stop this ecologically harmful and economically questionable project.
PRIOPĆENJE -Today (15.3.2012.) precisely at noon, in front of the HEP building, Vukovarska 37, Green Action activists, in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, held a press conference and performance – YESTERDAY LEŠĆE, TODAY OMBLA, TOMORROW KOSINJ – THROW OLD EIAs INTO THE TRASH!
PRIOPĆENJE -in Komolac at the source of the river Ombla, the initiative Srđ is Ours, Green Action activists, in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, Right to the City (Pravo na grad), Eko Omblići and Green Sun (Zeleno sunce) supported the citizens of the settlement near Ombla in their fight against the construction of this harmful project.
PRIOPĆENJE -At a press conference in Dubrovnik organised by citizen’s initative Srđ je naš, Zelena akcije/ Friends of the Earth Croatia, Friends of the Earth Europe representatives expressed the concern for the cultural and natural heritage of the UNESCO protected city of Dubrovnik. The city is threatened by planned construction of the golf resort at Srdj Platou and HE power-plant at the source of river Ombla.
PRIOPĆENJE -European legislation is supposed to protect biodiversity, but now a primarily European public bank is financing its destruction. Today (23.11.2011.) Croatian CSOs have reacted to EBRD loan approval for the Ombla hydropower plant in Croatia. Click for more information.
