Activists of the Coalition S.O.S. Adriatic, together with their Austrian partners Global2000, today held a protest performance and a press conference outside of the headquarters of the oil company OMV in Vienna.

The organizations gathered in the coalition S.O.S. Adriatic demand the withdrawal of the proposed Safety in Offshore Research and Exploitation of Hydrocarbons Act, which represents a clear and crude distortion of the EU Directive.

Also we posses information that the Italian Government had already sent the same request.

On Monday, July 8th a seminar on harmful energy projects in the region started at the Green Action Solar Academy at Vela Straza, island of Solta. Solar Academy is a long-term project in which Green Action, through volunteer camps, fixes up a regional training center for environmental protection in the former barracks provided for use by the Croatian Government.
