In an era of multiple planetary crises and the depletion of Earth’s limited resources, it is essential to rethink how we can reduce consumption while improving our quality of life. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is through the reuse of items.

Every month, we offer a range of interesting and educational activities that encourage active community engagement and help change habits shaped by life in a consumer society.

Do you love textiles, fashion, and creative expression? Don’t like fast fashion and waste? Enjoy socialising and learning new things? Interested in sewing and working with a sewing machine? At the “Sew Pop” workshops, you can join our volunteer team once a month and learn or perfect your skills. You can upcycle old clothes, create something new, or repair your favourite item.

Due to limited capacity, registration is required, and we can accommodate 5-10 people per session, depending on demand.

When small household appliances break down, we often tend to throw them away and replace them rather than attempt to repair them. At the “Fix It Together” workshops, you can learn how to fix various items, from toasters, kettles, and headphones to record players. This will extend the life of your belongings, save money, and conserve resources.

Please inform us in advance with a brief description of the problem and the appliance you intend to bring so that our volunteers can prepare adequately.

Swap Party

Every last Wednesday of the month, from 17:00 to 19:00 at Frankopanska 1

A great opportunity to refresh your wardrobe without purchasing new items. Bring clothes, shoes, and accessories you no longer use, and in exchange, take something that catches your eye. This way, you extend the life of things and reduce waste. No registration required for this event.

Bicycle Repair Workshop

Every Thursday from 17:00 to 20:00 at Frankopanska 1

At Biciklopopravljaona, you can repair your bike for free every week with the help of our volunteers, and your active participation is required (no prior knowledge needed). The workshop also collects donations of old bikes and bike parts. Usable bikes are repaired by our volunteers and given to those in need who cannot afford them. Irreparable bikes are used for parts, which are available for free to all Bic-pop users when needed.
