The seminar is organized as part of the EU funded IPA CSF project Advocacy NGOs networks for sustainable use of energy and natural resources in the Western Balkans and Turkey – ETNAR IPA-CSF-2012/306-573.
The purpose of this 5 day regional seminar is to provide information about new developments in the fields of energy and natural resources on the European and global levels, as well as to provide updates on coal and natural resources campaigns in the region. Participants of the seminar will have opportunity to participate in many interesting lectures, and there will also be space for discussion and planning of further activities. An important part of the seminar will be dedicated to the SEE NET annual general meeting, on which a new strategy and expanding of membership will be discussed.
Seminar will be held in Regional Educational Center for Sustainable Energy, which we are developing in an ex-military facility “Vela straža” on the Island Šolta, and level of comfort is similar to the hostel accommodation. Food will be vegetarian.
Participants’ attendance will be fully funded by the seminar organizers – transport, accommodation and food from 30th June – 04th July. (We are also covering food and accommodation on June 29th, for those who are arriving the day before the beginning of the seminar, but the travel costs will be refunded after return home, upon receiving the receipts).
The working language of the seminar will be English, so attendees should have sufficient knowledge in English. You can also bring and disseminate relevant educational and promotional materials from your organization.
