Environmental groups call on the EBRD not to finance “high risk” underground hydropower plant in Croatian cave

October 2011.) called on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development not to go ahead with a planned EUR 123 million loan for the Ombla hydropower plant near Dubrovnik in Croatia, due to be approved by the bank's Board of Directors on 8th November
The Novo Virje Dam - an ecological disaster
Zagreb, 4. november 2003. -The WWF, Green Action and the Drava League have today held a press conference to appeal to the government to stop the construction of the Novo Virje hydro-electric plant on the river Drava and to begin searching for new sustainable development solutions.
