Balkan Youth Climate Movement camp 2016

Zelena akcija/Friends of the Earth Croatia organised a regional event 'Balkan Youth Climate Movement' camp from July 25th until July 31st 2016 in the Solar Academy on the Island of Šolta, near Split, in Croatia. The purpose of the week-long camp for over 40 young people from Western Balkans and Turkey was to educate and build the capacity of young leaders in the region to be able to understand the results of COP21 and to advocate for climate justice.

February, in the cinema ''Europa'' Friends of the Earth Croatia has organised a panel discussion on the theme of linking the various actors in terms of action against climate change and the premiere of the film "Ovo mijenja sve / This changes everything" inspired by the book by Naomi Klein.

At a press conference held at Hotel Bosna representatives of environmental NGOs called on the Government of Republic of Srpska to meaningfully protect Sutjeska National park, a unique pearl of the European landscape that is threatened by planned hydropower plants

Zelena akcija /FoE Croatia activists organised a strategic regional meeting with 10 young people from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia which took place in our Solar Academy on Šolta Island on August 3rd-8th.

School of Sustanability 2015.

From 12th – 19th July 2015, Zelena akcija/FoE Croatia held a first summer camp “School of Sustainability” on island Solta, as part of the EU project „School of Sustainability in the European Year of Development 2015 and beyond“ which runs for 3 years and it gathers 23 partners from European Union, especially Friends of the Earth network which is the largest network of environmental organisations in the world.

(Zagreb, Croatia) At least 140 people have been arrested in peaceful protests Zagreb, Croatia, today as works began on a heavily unpopular entrance ramp to a private underground car park, which would destroy part of the city’s Varsavska Street pedestrian zone.
